Boulevard Barrel Aged Quad – Boulevard pulled out all the stops on this beastly barrel aged quad. This robust beer is aged with cherries which makes for a unique delicious Belgian style quad. The nose has waves of bourbon with hints of banana and cherries. The palate has flavors of figs and dark fruit that culminates into a blend of cherries and bourbon. The brew finishes with a distinct vanilla flavor.
Boulevard Harvest Dance – This robust wheat wine had a little age on it. It is a big wheat beer that tastes similar to big barley wines.
Burnt Hickory Cannon Dragger – This beastly yet refined IPA is FUCKING PERFECT.
Cigar City Jai Alai – Finally back in ATL again. This beer was here for a bit a couple years ago then it disappeared. I don’t recall liking it in the past but I sure do love it now. Wonder if they tweaked the recipe. It’s a solid IPA. Drink one.
A Delicious Beer – I can’t remember what this was, just that it was delicious as I enjoyed in the sun on a patio. I think it was Terrapin So Fresh So Green but I don’t really remember. Just look at it thought. Doesn’t it look tasty?
Dogfish Head American Beauty – It’s a big Imperial Pale Ale for the Dead Heads. I love the Dead, this beer I did not love as much as them. Don’t get me wrong it is good stuff but it had a lot to live up too. I like the battle of the malty nuttyness vs. hops that this beer had in my mouth.
New Belgium Accumulation – This winter seasonal hits the olfactory with mild waves of herbs, grass and lemon. It is a light bodied and dry. Herbal flavors start off the drinking experience followed by spice, pine and a light breadyness. Finishes herbal and peppery.
Prearis Quadrupel
Scheldebrouwerij Hollow Point Quad – Bold stuff and tasty. Oddly it had almost no aroma.
Sixpoint Three Beans – Dark chocolate and roast rule the nose of this beer. Up front you’ll notice big dark chocolate flavors followed by waves of roast and sweet cocoa. It is refreshing in a “cold glass of chocolate milk” kinda way. Perfect for sipping in the cool fall air.
Sweetwater Red Hot Mama – This deep dark red brew smells of pine and sweet malt. This broad makes sweet love to your mouth with flavors of pine, chewy resin, and more hops. She might come off as bitter but she sure does finish just sweet enough to want to see her again. When she’s gone all you have to remember her by is the sweet, piney, biscuit flavor left in your mouth.
Three Floyds Broo Doo – A chewy piney fresh hop treat. Really liked this thing.
Troegs Perpetual Ipa – Was good. Don’t remember much more about it.
Stone Oaked Arrogant Bastard Ale – Big, malty, hoppy, in your face, and Oaky! Everything that makes an Arrogant Bastard great plus oak! A damn fine beverage.
Oscar Blues Dales Pale Ale 19.2oz MEGA CAN – It’s like a regular hoppy Dales Pale Ale only better because there is more of it!
Dog Fish Head 75 Min IPA – Pine, herbal, and earthy hop flavors up front with Maple bringing up the rear. Things get more Mapley as the glass warms up. Nice twist on an IPA.
Cisco Pumple Drumkin – Really light and watery. A hint of spice and not any pumpkin to speak of… Poor Pumple Drumkin.
Terrapin Reunion Ale – Lots of coffee on the nose. Flavors of coffee, roast, cocoa up front. The finish is all cinnamon.
Lagunitas A Little Sumtin’ Wild – A splendid blend of hops and light farmhouse-ish funk.
Dog Fish Head Burton Baton – Hops and Booze with a whole lotta oak.
3 Taverns A Night in Brussels IPA – This Belgian IPA is from a new brewery in Decatur, GA. The nose has some banana and spice to it. It is crisp and hoppy with hints of fig. Refined and tasty and finishes with a bready flavor.
New Belgium French Aramis IPA – Light, crisp, very dry.
